About Me image
Miri Disney-Faller, M.S.P.T., opened Back on Track Physical Therapy in 2011.  She is a graduate of The University of Montana (1997) with a Bachelor's of Science in Health and Human Performance/Athletic Training and (2005) a Master's of Science of Physical Therapy.

While she has 20+ years of experience treating orthopedic injuries, Miri has developed a passion for treating those who struggle with vertigo, migraines/headaches, neck and low back pain. Her strong commitment to yearly continuing education has given her a variety of manual therapy modalities to use to treat many areas and systems of the human body with focused training in Fascial Counterstrain, Myofascial Release, and Muscle Energy Technique along with exercise and functional training through the Strategic Orthopedic Spine System and Selective Functional Movement Assessment.

Most importantly, Miri believes that each patient presents with unique considerations for their current injury/impairment that need to be individually addressed to obtain maximum effectiveness from physical therapy.  She prides herself on being an active listener for her patients and working collaboratively with them to establish a partnership in their recovery.

When away from work, Miri enjoys spending time with her family and friends at Griz sporting events, concerts, theatre, camping, hiking, rafting, boating and enjoying all that Montana has to offer.

Fascial Counterstrain is a manual therapy technique, involving compression or slackening of the soft tissue, primarily fascia, throughout various body systems.  It is a gentle technique designed to provide quick relief of pain, while helping to restore mobility in the body.
Fascial counterstrain can address a wide range of conditions because fascia is present throughout the entire body and surrounds every tissue. This technique is effective for reducing pain and swelling from acute or chronic injuries, restoring mobility and comfort after surgery, and improving scar mobility. It can also help with inflammatory and mechanical issues such as sinus congestion, headaches, low back pain, plantar fasciitis, TMJ disorders, visceral dysfunction, and many other areas of pain or impaired function.

Currently I bill most Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans, but most others pay cash, check, credit  card, or HSA/FSA account at time of service.  A superbill may be issued if you would like to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

I don't bill other payers or Medicare/Medicaid.
Most treatment sessions are 60 minutes.  The majority of that time is hands on manual therapy with some exercise instruction as needed.
